Our vision is to be intentional witnesses of Jesus Christ and experience people's lives being radically transformed through faith in Him as Lord and Savior beginning in Greenville, Mississippi, and extending to Washington County, the state of
Mississippi, the United States and the rest of the world.
We are one congregation made up of members from two previous church experiences. In November 2013, Parkview Baptist and Second Baptist merged to become Cornerstone Baptist, because the members of both churches believed they could do more together than separate. The new church sold the Parkview facilities and occupied and renovated the Second Baptist facilities, which Cornerstone now calls home. We are a group of regenerate people who've been rescued and redeemed through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Learn more about our values and make plans to join us on Sunday for a warm welcome, relevant Bible teaching and dynamic preaching. Prepare to be challenged and encouraged to reach for the goal for which you were created.
We believe that human beings are fearfully and wonderfully made, yet flawed and, therefore, separated from God and condemned to eternal damnation by God due to their sin. Humanity's only hope for salvation is redemption through faith in Jesus Christ. Moreover, God created us to glorify Him. In other words, we were made to worship God. At Cornerstone, worship is the one Christian discipline from which all others flow, receive clarity, deliver impact and transform lives. Jesus promised He would build His church; therefore, because of His person and work, Jesus deserves our fullest devotion and service.
